About Us
The OpenCoffee Club was started to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organize real-world informal
meetups to chat, network and grow. A small group of us in Rochester, NY, namely
Aaron,
Melissa,
Deb,
Adam,and
Les
were inspired to start the Rochester OpenCoffee Club after a visit by
Jason Mendelson, Managing Director of
Foundry Group a Boulder, CO based early stage venture capital
firm, and author of an awesome blog called Ask The VC.
We'd like to welcome other entrepreneurs and professionals in the Upstate NY area who are interested in building a startup community that rivals our friends in Boulder, Boston and Silicon Valley (hey why not!?!). We invite you to come out, talk shop, meet new people and hang out. Oh yeah, we might even have fun (as Jason would say). Our plan is to meet the third Friday of every month from 8am to 9:30am.
